Leap Partners acquires HVAC, plumbing and electrical businesses. The Nashville-based platform reported 35 companies acquired across eight states in its September 2, 2026 announcement.[13] Concentric Equity Partners announced the platform’s formation in 2022; its disclosures establish sponsor backing, but do not provide a complete current ownership chart.[25][7]
For an acquisition buyer, seller or advisor, the brand list is only the starting point. Echelon matched seven individual trade credentials to six selected Leap-associated brands in Kentucky and Florida. Two additional Florida records name the same financial officer for Cool Wizard and Emerald Bay, while their selected trade credentials name different people.[10][11][23] The second financial-officer record is FRO18907.[24]
The comparison below shows who appears on those records and what to request before relying on them. It does not identify a licensing violation or establish that every required authorization exists.
Leap Partners at a glance
| Reader question | Source-backed answer |
|---|---|
| What businesses does Leap buy? | HVAC, plumbing and electrical businesses.[13] |
| Who backs Leap? | Concentric Equity Partners, Financial Investments Corporation’s direct investing arm, announced Leap Partners Holdings LLC’s formation in March 2022. FIC lists Leap as an active investment.[25][7] |
| How many companies has Leap acquired? | Leap reported 35 companies over four years on September 2, 2026. This is its dated statement, not a verified count of current entities or licenses.[13] |
| Which states does that announcement cover? | Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.[13] |
| Where can I browse the wider portfolio? | Leap’s official company directory links to brands and acquisition releases. Its cards use a separate “Date Acquired” field.[8] |
| What does Echelon examine here? | Selected acquisition announcements, seven trade credentials across six brands, and two Florida financial-officer records. The licensing observations date to October 28 and 29, 2026. |
Who owns Leap Partners?
The public sources reviewed establish the sponsor relationship, not today’s complete ownership percentages. On March 24, 2022, Concentric Equity Partners announced the formation of Leap Partners Holdings LLC and the recapitalization of Conditioned Air Solutions in Huntsville, Alabama.[25]
That release calls Conditioned Air Leap’s first acquisition and says CEP provided controlling equity for that transaction.[25] FIC’s portfolio page separately lists Leap as an active investment with a 2022 investment date.[7] Neither disclosure supplies a current ownership chart for every operating business.
For a transaction, request the ownership documents for the specific entity being bought. A sponsor announcement and a contractor’s licensing record answer different questions.
Selected acquisitions and announcement dates
This chronology provides context for the licensing comparison. These are announcement or publication dates, not independently verified closing dates. For example, Leap’s directory labels Emerald Bay “Date Acquired – 4/11/24,” while Contractor Magazine published the acquisition report on April 16, 2024.[8][28] The directory’s label is a company-reported date, not independent closing documentation. For the wider company list, use Leap’s directory above.
| Announcement or report date | Business or event | Location and source |
|---|---|---|
| March 24, 2022 | Leap formation and Conditioned Air Solutions recapitalization | Huntsville, Alabama.[25] |
| October 3, 2023 | Paradise Home Services and Tim Ferguson Plumbing, Air, and Electric | Navarre, Florida, and Jackson, Tennessee.[1] |
| April 16, 2024 | Emerald Bay Plumbing acquisition reported | Destin, Florida. This is Contractor Magazine’s publication date.[28] |
| July 29, 2025 | Cool Wizard Air Conditioning | Tampa Bay market, Florida.[26] |
| March 3, 2026 | PROW Brothers and affiliated brands Hometown and T&G | PROW in Madisonville and Owensboro, Hometown in Eddyville, and T&G in Henderson, Kentucky.[2] |
| May 5, 2026 | Air Hawk Heating & Cooling | Odessa, Florida, in the Tampa Bay area.[27] |
| September 2, 2026 | Van’s Electric | Franklin, North Carolina. This announcement also contains Leap’s 35-company statement.[13] |

Why acquisition totals differ from brand and license counts
A single transaction can include several brands. Leap’s March 2026 announcement names PROW Brothers together with Hometown and T&G.[2] A brand can also appear on several trade credentials: the Kentucky search associates PROW with separate plumbing and HVAC master records.[12]
Compare like with like. A database’s tracked transactions, a directory’s brands, business locations and government credentials are different counts. None should be substituted for Leap’s dated statement that it had acquired 35 companies.
Six brands and seven trade credentials
Download the selected record register (CSV). Includes credential IDs, record types, observation dates and official source links.
The trade statuses below were observed on October 28, 2026. Each row concerns selected individual credentials associated with a brand, not a complete license inventory for that business. Kentucky’s search results supply the business associations; its individual detail pages supply the holder and credential details.[12]
| Brand | Named trade holder and credential | Status observed |
|---|---|---|
| PROW Brothers, Kentucky | Sanchez, Luis R: Master Plumber M8459. Davis, Scott A: Master HVAC Contractor HM05898.[16][17] | Active for both |
| Hometown Heating & Cooling, Kentucky | Duff, Clarence W: Master HVAC Contractor HM01418.[18] | Active |
| T&G Heating & Air, Kentucky | Jarvis, Ian H: Master Plumber M8560.[19] | Active |
| Air Hawk Heating & Cooling, Florida | Joseph Lawrence Massa Sr.: air-conditioning credential CAC1817999.[9] | Current,Active |
| Cool Wizard Air Conditioning, Florida | Giuseppe Mastrota: air-conditioning credential CAC1816194.[10] | Current,Active |
| Emerald Bay Plumbing, Florida | Marcus Ryan Cook: plumbing credential CFC1428431.[11] | Current,Active |
Kentucky records preserve several versions of Leap’s business name. M8459 uses “Leap Service Partners Llc, Dba Prow Brothers Heating Air And Plumbing”; HM05898 uses “Leap Service Partners Dbd Prow Brothers Heating, Air And Plumbing.”[12] HM01418 uses “Leap Service Partners Dba Hometown Heating And Cooling,” while M8560 uses “Leap Partners Llc Dba T&G Heating & Air Conditioning.”[12]
Those are the source’s spellings, including “Dbd.” They establish recorded business associations, not that all similarly named Leap entities are legally identical. Reconcile the exact contracting entity with the relevant credential before a transaction or project.
Cool Wizard and Emerald Bay share a recorded financial officer
Two separate Florida DBPR records identify CERASUOLO, JOHN F as the primary name and Construction Financial Officer as the record type. Both displayed the rank Fin Officer and status Current on October 29, 2026.[23][24]
| Record | DBA | Main address | License location |
|---|---|---|---|
| FRO18609 | Cool Wizard Air Conditioning Services | 200 Dan Tibbs Rd. NW, Huntsville, Alabama 35806 | Dunedin, Florida.[23] |
| FRO18907 | Emerald Bay Plumbing | 200 Dan Tibbs Rd. NW, Huntsville, Alabama 35806 | Destin, Florida.[24] |
The financial-officer details show licensure dates of February 26, 2026 for FRO18609 and April 23, 2026 for FRO18907.[23][24] They do not establish who held those roles when the earlier acquisitions occurred.
The shared recorded name and main address connect these two financial-officer records. The trade credentials above name Giuseppe Mastrota and Marcus Ryan Cook instead.[10][11] This is a documented distinction between financial and trade roles, not an ownership chart. The review does not independently resolve the recorded officer’s identity against Leap’s publicly named CEO.

What Florida’s financial-officer role means
The 2025 codification of Florida Statutes section 489.1195 says a business may designate a financially responsible officer upon board approval. That officer is responsible for the organization’s financial aspects and cannot be designated as its primary qualifying agent.[21]
Where the organization has a certified or registered financially responsible officer, the statute leaves construction responsibilities with the primary qualifying agent. Without that arrangement, the statute’s general rule assigns primary qualifying agents responsibility for operations, field work and financial matters.[21]
These provisions explain why the roles need separate checks. The selected records alone do not establish the full primary- and secondary-qualifier arrangement for either business. They also do not establish equity ownership, centralized payroll or how financial decisions are made.
Documents to request before relying on the records
Use the public records to make the next request specific. For a seller, this is a preparation list. For a buyer or advisor, it identifies documents to reconcile with the transaction.
| Question to resolve | Document or confirmation to request |
|---|---|
| Which entity is being acquired or signing the contract? | Exact legal name, organization chart and documents connecting the entity to the brand. |
| Who covers each required trade? | Credential numbers, business associations, authorized scope and the applicable qualifying-agent designations. |
| Who carries financial responsibility? | Any board-approved financial-officer designation and confirmation of the organization it covers. |
| What happens if a named person leaves? | The proposed staffing and qualification-continuity plan, checked against the jurisdiction’s requirements. |
| What must change because of the deal? | A jurisdiction-specific review of required notices, amendments or applications, with assigned owners and deadlines. |
| Is the information still current? | Fresh official checks near closing, saved with their dates and any discrepancies that need resolution. |
For example, the Cool Wizard row gives a buyer two different records to reconcile: Mastrota’s trade credential CAC1816194 and the financial-officer record FRO18609.[10][23] The next step is to obtain the relevant business and role documents, not assume that one record covers both responsibilities.
Request a review of a specific contractor business
Echelon’s Quality of License Report service examines licensing records for business diligence. Start with the target’s brand, exact entity name if known, states and intended transaction. Define the review around the decision you need to make.
Explore Quality of License reportsQuestions the records do not settle
Does this review establish a licensing problem at Leap?
No. The selected trade records displayed Active or Current,Active, and the two financial-officer records displayed Current on their observation dates. This comparison documents selected associations. It neither alleges unlawful operation nor certifies platform-wide compliance.
Does a financial-officer record count as another trade license?
No. The two DBPR records identify Construction Financial Officer as a separate record type.[23][24] Florida’s statute distinguishes that financial role from construction responsibilities.[21]
Do these records show who owns each acquired business?
No. A named license holder, recorded DBA or financial officer does not establish equity ownership. Use the specific business’s ownership documents to answer that question; use licensing records to examine its authorizations and recorded role associations.
About this review
Echelon Reports prepared this comparison from company and sponsor disclosures and selected official licensing records. The Kentucky and Florida trade observations date to October 28, 2026; the two financial-officer observations date to October 29. Announcement dates describe the published reports, not independently verified closing dates. Repeating a lookup today can return a different status.
The selection illustrates how brands, named trade holders and financial officers appear in public records. It is not a representative sample of Leap’s portfolio, a complete ownership chart or an assessment of every required license. Financial-officer arrangements outside the two Florida records were not assessed.
Tennessee is excluded from the credential comparison because its official lookup did not return usable current details during the underlying research. That access failure says nothing about Tennessee standing. The historical Tennessee acquisition announcement remains in the chronology.
The legal explanation cites the 2025 codification, not a certification of current law. Confirm current agency requirements before acting. Echelon is not affiliated with the licensing agencies, and this article is not legal advice. Repeat relevant checks through the Kentucky official search and the Florida record links below.
